A letter from John Burke about People For Bikes

Last year, Trek helped Bikes Belong launch Peopleforbikes.org (PFB), an unprecedented movement to unite one million voices to improve bicycling in the U.S. by asking people to simply sign a pledge in support of biking. Since the launch of the campaign, more than 200,000 people have signed the pledge, including Lance Armstrong and Gary Fisher.

The goal is to make our country a better place to ride a bike by sending a unified message to our elected leaders, the media and the public that bicycling is important and should be supported. As we work to ensure that funding for bicycling is included in the next Federal Transportation Bill, the power of this movement will speak volumes.

Trek is ramping up our support of this important movement in 2011, and we need your help.
